unisugg.com
UniSugg.com is a Ghana-focused education platform that helps students match their school subjects and exam results with university programmes, training institutions, and possible career paths.
What problem does UniSugg.com solve for students?
Many students finish WASSCE or technical education knowing their grades but not knowing which programmes those grades can actually qualify them for.
UniSugg.com tries to close that information gap by turning subjects and grades into a list of possible study options.
The platform also serves students who have not yet received final results, because they can explore programmes using their current subjects and learn what cutoff points they may need.
This makes the service useful before application forms are purchased, when students are still comparing realistic options.
How large is the education database?
The website currently says its system covers 12 public universities, more than 80 nursing training institutions, all 46 public Colleges of Education, and several foreign universities.
Its public university section includes institutions such as KNUST, University of Ghana, University of Cape Coast, University of Education Winneba, UPSA, UDS, UHAS, UMaT, UENR, and technical universities.
That range matters because admission requirements can differ greatly between schools even when programme names look similar.
Uni-Suggest says the admission information used by its system comes from official university admissions documents and pages, although students should still confirm important requirements with the institution itself.
How does the programme checker work?
According to the site's official explanation, users first choose an education path such as public university, nursing training, teacher training, or TVET.
Students then identify whether they are still studying or already have examination results.
They select relevant subjects and enter grades when results are available.
The platform processes this information and returns programmes and related career paths that appear to match the student's academic profile.
This approach is more useful than showing a single cutoff number because subject combinations can be just as important as the final aggregate.
Does UniSugg.com help younger students too?
Uni-Suggest has expanded beyond university applicants by offering a career-planning option for Junior High School students.
A JHS student can enter a future career interest and receive a suggested path connecting that goal with an SHS programme and later education options.
This changes the website from a simple admissions checker into a broader education-planning service.
The company also says it runs career-guidance workshops in Ghanaian schools, including Senior High Schools and technical or vocational institutions.
Can students track application deadlines?
The website has a dedicated application deadlines page showing institutions, application-form costs, dates, and whether applications are listed as open or closed.
For the 2026 admission cycle, the page displays application fees ranging from about GHC 150 for some institutions to GHC 350 for Ghana's public Colleges of Education.
This feature can save students from searching many individual university websites just to compare application windows.
However, deadlines can change, so applicants should verify the final date on the university's own admissions portal before paying or submitting anything.
What other services are built into the website?
UniSugg.com also offers WASSCE grade calculation, admission-form assistance, application tracking, WAEC result-checker vouchers, study-abroad information, and education news.
Its admission-support service allows users to submit information so the team can assist with completing an application form.
The site's combination of discovery, deadlines, application assistance, and tracking creates a more complete admissions journey than a basic course-matching tool.
Is there also a Uni-Suggest mobile app?
Yes, Uni-Suggest has an Android app on Google Play published under Geo Data Science.
Google Play showed more than 500 downloads and listed the app's most recent update as March 27, 2025 when the listing was reviewed.
The Play Store's developer-provided data-safety section says data is encrypted in transit and declares that no data is collected or shared with third parties.
Those statements are developer declarations on Google Play rather than an independent technical privacy audit.
Is UniSugg.com an official university admissions service?
No, and this distinction is one of the most important things users should understand about the platform.
Uni-Suggest states in its terms that Fkay Innovation Labs operates the service independently and is not affiliated with universities or other educational institutions.
The company also says that matching a programme's stated requirements does not guarantee admission because each institution makes its own final decision.
Students should therefore use UniSugg.com as a planning and discovery tool while treating official university admissions pages as the final authority.
What makes UniSugg.com useful?
The strongest idea behind UniSugg.com is that it brings several confusing education decisions into one workflow.
A student can explore a career, connect it with school subjects, check programmes against grades, watch deadlines, and seek application support without starting every search from zero.
For Ghanaian students trying to understand what their WASSCE, TVET, or CTVET results can unlock, that structure can make the admissions process much easier to navigate.
